Team USA’s 2026 WBC build reads like a superteam. With the reigning AL and NL Cy Young winners—Tarik Skubal and Paul Skenes—fronting the staff and an everyday group led by Aaron Judge, Bobby Witt Jr., Bryce Harper and more, the path to gold runs through the stars and stripes. Official commitments tracked by MLB.com already include Judge (captain), Witt Jr., Gunnar Henderson, Cal Raleigh, Kyle Schwarber, Corbin Carroll, Pete Crow-Armstrong, Will Smith, Brice Turang, and arms like Skenes, Skubal, Logan Webb, Joe Ryan, Mason Miller, Clay Holmes and Nolan McLean.

Add Bryce Harper’s public commitment, and it’s clear the lineup depth is catching up to the headline pitching.

Why It Scales in March

Two aces who just won the major awards travel in any format; add a middle-order anchored by Judge/Harper/Schwarber, plus plus-glove/impact bats like Witt Jr., Henderson, Raleigh and speed/pressure from Carroll and Crow-Armstrong, and you get both detonation (HR/OPS) and sequence offense. With Miller/Bednar at the back, the U.S. can shorten games to seven innings in bracket play.

Sandlot Picks’ Call

On paper, this is the tournament’s best top-end rotation (two reigning Cy Youngs) and a starting nine that averaged ~.883 OPS with 316 HR in 2025. We expect Team USA to dominate pool play and walk into the finals as the favorite.
